Powering Sustainability at
New Frontier Feedlot
New Frontier Feedlot is a family-owned dairy farm based in Dublin, Texas. The agricultural operation specializes in high-quality beef and dairy product production, including milk and cheese.

Challenge: Scaling Manure Management
With expanding operations serving local markets and businesses, New Frontier Feedlot needed to expand their waste management solutions while maintaining their commitment to sustainable practices.
Given the climate in Texas and the scale of the operation, the infrastructure also needed to be built for durability, volume, and resilience.

Overall, the farm needed a system that could:

-
Efficiently handle the waste output of a large dual-purpose (dairy and beef) facility.
-
Contribute to the farm’s long-term sustainability goals.
-
Align with environmental compliance regulations.
Solution: A Large Double DVO Anaerobic Digester
In March 2024, New Frontier Feedlot partnered with Pipping Concrete to build a 362-foot long, nearly 150-foot wide, and 16-foot deep double DVO anaerobic digester. It’s one of the largest concrete installations of its kind.
The Pipping Concrete team traveled to Texas and poured more 2,800 yards of concrete and tied 240 tons of rebar to reinforce the structure for decades of high-load performance.
To align with the farm’s sustainability goals and environmental standards, the double digester design maximizes biogas production and improves waste breakdown efficiency. The anaerobic digester not only processes manure but also produces renewable energy through methane capture.

Results: Ongoing Resilience and Renewable Innovation
With the successful completion of the digester, New Frontier Feedlot improved day-to-day operational efficiency and sustainability.
The biogas generated by the anerobic digester reduces reliance on external energy sources and lowers the farm’s carbon footprint, leaving a lasting legacy for their farm. .
This project is a testament to what’s possible when craftsmanship, innovation, and sustainability converge. Thanks to our collaboration with the team at New Frontier Feedlot, this digester now stands as a benchmark for agricultural waste infrastructure in Texas and beyond.
