Gobel Dairy Feed Storage Upgrade

Gobel Dairy is a large agricultural operation located in Belleville, Wisconsin. They specialize in dairy products and locally sourced milk, with an ongoing focus on sustainable farming practices and animal welfare.

750 Feet of Concrete Bunker Walls

Pipping Concrete partnered with Gobel Dairy to deliver a custom feed storage system that aligned with the farm’s operational and environmental needs.

The project included 750 feet of DNR-approved concrete bunker walls. The 12-foot high walls are installed in three 250-foot segments, allowing Gobel to support significantly higher volumes of silage.

We also installed a leachate collection lagoon with a ramp. This created the needed storage and fit within the available footprint. 150-feet of straight concrete walls at varying heights were implemented into the sloped wall lagoon design. This helps control the leachate and align with environmental compliance standards, while using a more cost friendly option than a standard straight wall tank

A clean water diversion system was also integrated seamlessly into the design to reduce the unnecessary collection of clean water into the storage lagoon.

Pipping Concrete worked closely with partners MSA, Advance Concrete, and Yard 1 to bring this project to life quickly and efficiently for the Gobel team.

Infrastructure that Supports Growth and Sustainability

By choosing a partner with a focus on agricultural infrastructure and 40+ years of experience, Gobel Dairy now has a future-ready feed storage solution.

The concrete bunker walls are designed to withstand decades of silage storage and equipment use, even through the harshest Wisconsin winters. Plus, the integrated clean water diversion and wastewater storage lagoon will help protect local ecosystems moving forward.

Overall, Gobel’s investment will continue to pay off and improve operational efficiency for decades.
